Fly On Her Nose

I didn't notice when I took the picture, but there is a fly on Icy's nose. I just noticed it as I was looking at some pics I took yesterday. You may have to click on the picture to enlarge it to really see it. I just thought it was amusing. Sort of. But maybe not for Icy.

Windy

It got a little windy last Sunday, but we were very lucky that it only blew down two limbs from the tree and didn't do any structural damage. There was a lot of serious damage in the area. The electricity was off for five days because the electric company crews were down in Texas helping where the hurricane first came inland. We just got the wind, no rain, after it traveled inland a thousand miles. It makes us realize how devastating it must have been when it first hit shore in Texas.

Doug Recites Poem Underwater

I was joking with Doug and called his poem The Onionville Chronicles instead of Unionville, saying it made me cry. He replied saying it should be read underwater. So here is Doug reciting the last canto of his epic poem underwater. You can sample a little of it, but to hear his original reading, click here to go to the post on Waking Ambrose.

Rainy Day

It has finally rained and cooled things off around here. I got out my old movie camera and went across the street to take a picture of the house in the rain, but one of those nutty girls next door saw me taking a movie and ran out in the street to show off!

We Have Relatives We Don't Know About

A young black cat comes by to visit Icy and Bootsy. We haven't seen this one before, but it must be one of the kids of Midnight, the big black cat that is the father of Bootsy.
