Red will be seventy-one (71) on February 14. This is an old picture of her and Icy on the front porch. She wanted to go outside and sit for a while today in case someone walked past that she knew and wish her happy birthday, but it was too cold for her. She was always a very out-going extrovert personality with more friends than you could count, but now no one comes around and she just sits in front of the TV day after day. It's sad when we grow old.

I love those pictures. They remind me of our pup Tobin, and the grins he would give when we rubbed his face and his belly. Red looks happy and content - Happy Valentine's Day Red, and happy birthday to a wonderful lady I wish I had met somewhere in person as well.
It is sad, not so much growing old but having people grow away. Icy and Red look very happy together though. Pets are truly lifelong friends.
