The title reminds me of something. If anyone has an animal that eats a lot as in seems to be eating all the time but doesn't gain weight, have the vet check their liver function. My late cat P.E. had liver function problems as a kitten and the only way he could get adequate nutrition was by eating and eating. His liver function became normal for quite a time and for most of his life he was a fat beast because he still loved to eat. When he got arthritis in his back legs and the kidneys started to fail, his liver function became compromised again and he was eating and eating but getting skinnier and skinnier. Now that he's gone I literally buy half the cat food I once did even though I still have four cats! Just an FYI for fellow animal lovers.

Well it certainly doesn't happen to me--I guess the one consolation is that my liver must be working just fine!
